Anti-Bullying Week shines a spotlight on bullying and encourages all children, teachers and parents to take action against bullying throughout the year. Our assemblies will have an Anti-Bullying focus this week and each class will take part in activities looking at how to recognise bullying, what to do about it and how we can all work together to make our school a ‘Bullying- Free’ place!
On Tuesday Woodseaves CE Academy held an archery competition with other schools. Both our teams did brilliantly, with our Team A coming first and our Team B coming second! Well done!
Our winning Team with their certificates and trophy!
Jude from The House of Bread visited school on Monday and spoke to the children, in our collective worship, about the work that they do and about how important our food donations are in helping homeless people or those in difficult circumstances.
Jude left with a boot full of food and toiletries and was so grateful to all the children, staff and parents that had donated. Thank you!
All the children took part in an African dance workshop with Bemma from African Ark. The children tried out lots of traditional African dance moves which they put together into an Olympic themed dance.
Our fun Sports Morning went ahead with all the children trying out wheelchair basket ball, archery, fencing and bubble football. The feedback from the children was ‘brilliant fun!”
The children had a great time trying out a variety of sports across the morning, this included wheelchair basket ball, archery, fencing and bubble football. It was a fun and active morning!
All the children had a great time trying out a variety of Sports over the morning. This included wheelchair basketball, archery, fencing and bubble football.
Unfortunately due to the weather forecast for rain tomorrow we have had to postpone our Sports Afternoon until next Tuesday (July 5th). The children should come to school tomorrow in their uniform as usual with their PE kits if they are not already in school. Fingers crossed for better weather next week.
The school celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday with a ‘street’ style party across the length of our playground. We ended the party by singing happy Birthday to Her Majesty as loud as we could so she could hear us in London.
